Philip Kotler

One of his most important books, “Marketing Management: Analysis, Planning, and Control”, is still considered the gold standard for marketing education. This bestselling text continues to influence business leaders and students around the globe, and is still a must-have for marketing students.

Kotler was born in Ukraine, but grew up in Chicago. He moved to the United States when he was a teenager, and attended DePaul University for two years. Later, he earned his Master’s degree at the University of Chicago. In addition, he received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied under three Nobel Laureates. Kotler helped to establish the field of social marketing, which focuses on influencing people’s behavior and attitudes. He also developed concepts such as demarketing, which involves eliminating unwanted marketing efforts. Kotler has been referred to as “The Father of Modern Marketing” by many scholars. His most recent writings focus on the failures of capitalism and economic justice.

David Aguilar

David Aguilar is a great example of a marketing genius who changed the way businesses operate forever. He founded the SparkToro company, which is now known as the father of digital marketing. This American professor has written more than 60 books and articles on the topic of marketing, some of which have been translated into different languages. One of his most famous books is Principles of Marketing.

Aguilar is also a music composer. He has created two original songs, “La cumbia de la bicicleta” and “Bicycle Man.” His media impact led him to speak at a technology convention in Europe, entitled “The Bionic Age.” He also speaks Spanish, English, and French.

Aside from his work in digital marketing, Aguilar also has an interesting personal story. He was born with a genetic condition known as Poland syndrome, which affects the fingers. As a child, Aguilar was born without a right forearm. However, he never saw his disability as a limitation. He made his first prosthetic arm out of LEGO blocks at age nine. He has also received praise from NASA and Marvel Studios for his work.

Jeff Bezos

If Amazon’s founder is considered the father of digital marketing, then he definitely has long-term vision and entrepreneurial spirit. While at Princeton University, Jeff Bezos studied computer science and electrical engineering. He later went on to start his own summer camp, the Dream Institute, which charged $600 per child. In college, Bezos turned down offers from companies like Intel and Bell Labs to start his own company. Instead, he joined a startup called Fitel and considered a partnership with Halsey Minor, who would later found CNET.

In the early 1990s, Jeff Bezos was working at a small computer company called Fitel, and later helped develop a computer network for international finance. In 1992, he was working as a computer specialist at D.E. Shaw & Company, and later rose to the position of senior vice president.

In 2016, Bezos invited reporters to his headquarters, where he spoke about his plans for colonizing space. He also promised to sell $1 billion of his Amazon stock a year to finance the project. In October of that year, Bezos bought a new home on Maui, Hawaii. The property is located in a remote part of the island near the lava fields.

Rand Fishkin

Rand Fishkin is a co-founder of Moz and the founder of a new product, SparkToro. His new product offers audience intelligence data for marketers. In this interview, he discusses his business journey, his current endeavors, and where the field of digital marketing is headed.

Rand Fishkin was born in Philadelphia and attended Stuyvesant High School in New York City. He went on to graduate from Rutgers University, where he founded Software Link Network. The company sold small computer programs via AOL. After a few years, Fishkin walked away from his job as CEO and left the company.

As a podcaster, Rand is an expert on customer journeys. The customer journey is a long and complicated process. The process is difficult to measure. Even though there are measurable metrics, some aspects are more difficult to track than others. For example, content marketing has a big impact on SEO, but it can’t match the perfect trackability of Google Ads. Likewise, Facebook has a way of taking credit for conversions and can’t be as accurate as SEO.
